Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: Ben Stiller
Episode 8 of “Between Two Ferns.” Zach Galifianakis sits down with Ben Stiller, star of the ‘Meet the Fockers’ series as well as the new movie, Greenberg. As usual, things don’t go smoothly. Turns out Ben Stiller is a little grumpy.
Zach Galifianakis Drops By The Set and Shaves his Beard
Zach Galifianakis hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend which probably marks the first time in a generation that they have had a comedian host the show.
One of the best parts of the evening, however, was when Zach ran backstage while Vampire Weekend performed and shaved off his iconic hobo beard. Yes, he actually did shave the little guy off. Here’s a video of the incident.
Thankfully, after the skit with Zach sans beard he was able to get a replacement.
Sweet! Zach Galifianakis Hosting Saturday Night Live
The promos for this week’s episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live are funnier than everything they have done over the last 3 years. Which isn’t saying much but since we’re huge fans of Zach Galifianakis (and his Amy Adams impersonation) we will actually have to watch this one.
Awesome! HBOs Funny Or Die Presents Trailer
Someone at HBO deserves a pat on the back for merging their channel with the humor of “Funny or Die” for a new sketch series. Full-length trailer is at the bottom of this post but let’s get your primed first.
Funny or Die Presents is a new series on HBO that combines the awesomeness of the Internet with the ability to watch shit on TV. Yes, viral video maker Funny or Die joins up with HBO for what might be the best thing ever on TV in the history of the universe.
Or not. But we bet it’s funny either way.
Judd Apatow, Will Farrel, and Adam McKay are just a few of the brains behind the show which will give people a reason to get HBO back after they cut the cord when the Sopranos left. Some people are still in mourning, we understand. But it’s time to gather the pieces together and move forward.
And a ton of fucking awesome comedians and celebrities make appearances in the show including Zack Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Rob Huebel, Wayne Newton, Paul Scheer, Don Cheadle, John C. Reilly, David Spade, Zooey Deschanel, and about 100 more.
This is going to be great! We are really gonna wear out the DVR with this series.
Check out the trailer below. The series premiers on HBO Feb. 19th at midnight and is slated for 12 episodes.
Seth Galifianakis hates Zach Galifianakis
Zach Galifianakis‘ twin brother Seth joins Jamie Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk. It’s the first time Seth has been on TV as he visits Hollywood from North Carolina where he is a high school coach for the Flaming Arrows. BTW, Seth is not a fan of Zach’s humor.
Goodbye 2009 and Good Riddance
One of the craziest years on our books is over. Finally. Someone tap 2009 on the shoulder because it’s time to come out of the game. As the world gathers this week to celebrate the beginning of the new decade we are wondering about the status of our world.
Will our economy bounce back? Will vampire movies still be run into the ground? Will Tiger Woods recover? These are just some of the things on our mind as we take a look back at some of the best and worst of 2009 and reflect.
Maybe it’s the moonshine, but we’re feeling a little nostalgic.
We’d like to point out that the movie 2010 with Roy Scheider was full of crap. We are no where near the ability to cruise around the moons of Jupiter much less have crazy-ass computers going on killing sprees or have the technology to give John Lithgow a full head of hair.
It’s all a crock!
Since we can’t go into space or fly around the city in our hovercar or personal jet pack, we are forced to stay here on Earth and take the best that society has to offer. And by society we mean the Internet. Pop culture had a big year in 2009 and here’s some of the highlights over the last 12 months.
December 2009: Japanese Nurse Prank
November 2009: And the Tiger Woods Scandal Begins
October 2009: Five Reasons Chicago Was Rejected For 2016 Olympic Games
September 2009: Rejected Titles of Sarah Palins New Book
August 2009: From Hell: Christian-Newsom Murder Trial Begins In Knoxville
July 2009: Why is Captain Kirk Climbing a Mountain?
June 2009: 5 Best Zach Galifianakis Moments
May 2009: Ferris Bueller Fight Club Theory: You Sir Just Blew My Mind
April 2009: Great Japanese Fluorescent Light Fights
March 2009: Padma Lakshmi Sexy Hardee’s Burger Commercial
February 2009: Lily Allen Performing in Blue Lingerie
January 2009: Johnny Knoxville detained for inert grenade at airport
Zach Galifianakis Needs A Beard…
…the beard doesn’t need him as much.
We say that because waaaaaaaaay back in 2002 [remember that kids ?!] there was a show on a channel called VH1. You know that channel now as the Crack–Ho Channel.
This show was aimed at making a late night talk show staring an up-and-coming Zach Galifianakis. The show wasn’t great but the fact that the show got canceled and Zach just started to do whatever he wanted the last few weeks knowing he’s canceled is pure comic gold.
You can see some of that gold with the #4 entry on our 5 Best Zach Galifianakis Moments. It’s fantastic!
Here’s a clip with Alan Tudyk Zach looking baby soft with his future Hangover star Bradley Cooper talking about Cooper’s Alias gig.
If one thing can be learned from this video is that sometimes a beard is necessary.
Stu’s Song from The Hangover
The best movie of the year, “The Hangover,” is finally coming to DVD and we have a plate of nachos and some beer ready for the occasion.
We can’t wait to check out Zach Galifianakis and Señor Chang again and what better way to get ready than the fantastic “Stu’s Song” from the movie?
A Day Off
We’re gonna take a day off to get caught up with our baglog of Netflix movies as well as the new “Star Trek” movie that’s out on Blu-Ray today.
The good news is that the Tennessee Vols men’s and women’s basketball team won Tuesday night as Bruce Pearl tries to get closer to 100 wins.
The bad news is that another Tennessee Vols football player got arrested. Tennessee freshman defensive back Nyshier Oliver was charged with shoplifting. Congratulations, idiot. You are going to lose a scholarship worth thousands for a shitty brown shirt worth $110.
Maybe they should teach some better math classes for these Freshmen so they can see how much $ they are pissing away. Maybe an ethics class at the least.
Anyway, enjoy the day off with Zach Galifianakis and his “Between Two Ferns.” This episode features Conan O’Brien and Andy Richter.
Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis and Charlize Theron
Episode 6 of the Nobel Prize winning series “Between Two Ferns” has host Zach Galifianakis serving up a chat with gorgeous Charlize Theron, an Academy Award winner who is a pet lover with a beard-fetish. Awesome!
