Zach Galifianakis Drops By The Set and Shaves his Beard
Zach Galifianakis hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend which probably marks the first time in a generation that they have had a comedian host the show.
One of the best parts of the evening, however, was when Zach ran backstage while Vampire Weekend performed and shaved off his iconic hobo beard. Yes, he actually did shave the little guy off. Here’s a video of the incident.
Thankfully, after the skit with Zach sans beard he was able to get a replacement.
Sweet! Zach Galifianakis Hosting Saturday Night Live
The promos for this week’s episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live are funnier than everything they have done over the last 3 years. Which isn’t saying much but since we’re huge fans of Zach Galifianakis (and his Amy Adams impersonation) we will actually have to watch this one.
Wii Curling FAIL Video
Wait for it….here it comes….wait for it…..
This might be our new favorite video. The hosts of some talk show down there in Austrailia are whipping out their Wii’s and shaking them about in a rather awesome fashion while shouting “Here it comes.”
Fantastic.
Reminds us of the Saturday Night Live skit with Alec Baldwin but since this is live TV it is on another level of awesomeness!
Bill Murray Sings the Star Wars Song on SNL
Bill Murray is Nick Winters, the delicious lounge act that wraps up the night with the lyrical version of the Star Wars theme song. This classic clip from Saturday Night Live is hard to find but it was well worth the effort to see a young Bill swoon the audience with his adaptation of the famous theme song.
Also, notice a younger [and not-quite-as-bald] Paul Shaffer on the piano.

Mel’s Hide Heaven
We need more DIY stores like Mel’s Hide Heaven. You get to help in the creation of your beautiful new leather coat. It’s kinda like IKEA except with chainsaws.

Cat Swimming School and Cat Swimming Lessons
Because we know how much you love cats [and that cats own the internet] we expect this video of a Cat Swimming School to be slightly offensive to you.
That’s because this clip is from the Royal Feline Swimming Academy teaching cats to swim. We get this sketch from the 1979 special Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video.
Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video was a spoof of the controversial 1962 documentary Mondo Cane, showing people doing weird stunts. Kinda like Jackass does today. It stared the first head writer of Saturday Night Live, Michael O’Donoghue, who also was in the first sketch of the show [see below]
If you’re looking to send Mr. Mondo a dirty letter because he’s tossing cats into a pool, you don’t have to worry. Mike died in 1994

Christmas Brings Delicious Schweddy Balls

If you still need a gift for that NPR-loving hippie we suggest grabbing a sack of Pete Schweddy’s Balls. Holiday times are perfect for culinary delights like Pete’s Balls as mentioned here on “Delicious Dish,” an NPR show.
In this classic SNL skit staring Alex Baldwin we get the gift of ball jokes in the monotone NPR world. Who could ask for more?
How they keep a straight face is beyond us….
Cast of SNL Does Christopher Walken
OK. The title of this post may be taken the wrong way by perverted minds. To be clear, the cast of Saturday Night Live merely does impersonations of Mr. Christopher Walken and leaves the dirty bits to your imagination.
Jenny Slate SNL F Bomb

Jenny Slate is the new chick on SNL and slipped out the F-bomb on the 35th season premiere of Saturday Night Live hosted by Megan Fox. It’s not the first time that the F-word has been said on SNL but we’re sure the FCC will send her a nice “Welcome to Prime Time” fine for the sllip.
Wake Up with A.M. Ale
The best part of waking up is A.M. Ale in your cup!
No one likes to get up in the morning and Monday’s just seem worse than any other day. Where did the time go? The good news is that if you are forced to get up in the morning to go and work for the man than we have the early morning pick-me-up for you. Try an A.M. Ale to take the edge off.
