Tuesday Link Dump

Football is back and in full swing so we’re happy. This week also sees a new season of TV shows kick off which is hit and miss. While some great shows like “The Office” and “Fringe” start back up it also means the usual rounds of lowest-common denominator reality shows. And to top it off we still have to wait 4 months for “Lost” to return… dang it!

Raiders Blackout Means Fans Get To See Colts/Pats Game
Attention Oakland Raiders fans!
Your 2-5 team sucks this year and if you buy enough tickets to this Sunday’s game against the Texans then the rest of the football fans in the Bay won’t get to see a great Pats/Colts game. Many fans are rooting for an Oakland Raiders Blackout so their Raiders game will not be shown on TV.
That’s because the alternate game that would be shown in the Bay Area if the Raiders are blacked out the latest version of the Game of Decade: the 8-0 Patriots against the 7-0 Colts. The defending Super Bowl champs hosting the team that has won three of the last six Super Bowls.
We lucked out because our Titans, who are AFC like the Pats, Colts, and Raiders, are hosting a game by an NFC team which means that game will be on FOX. So, we’re guaranteed the Pats/Colts game thankfully.
To check to see what game is playing in your neighborhood check out the NFL Blackout Map link below which has a weekly updated map of regional games.
