Instant Dharma: Sawyer’s Cons, Widmore’s Return, Smocke’s Mommy Issues & More (VIDEO)
This week’s Instant Dharma takes a look at the Sawyer-centric episode. For those of you that missed the episode we hate to give out spoilers but it’s a shame that they killed off Hurley.
OK. Just kidding.
What really happened is we got a look at Sawyer shedding off his domesticated persona from his time in Dharmaville and leaning more toward the Sawyer we know from the earlier years.
And, as the other episodes from this year have shown us, we get a look at the Flashsideways version of Sawyer living in the States as if the plane crash never happened.
This week, Jace Lacob of Televisionary and The Daily Beast (@televisionary) and IGN TV editor Matt Fowler (@Fowler_IGN) join Maggie to talk about ‘Recon,’ a fun adventure with our favorite con man Sawyer that was chock-full of familiar faces.
And don’t forget that spoilers abound in the below video.
Waaaalt! LOST Parody of Avatar
Are you confused with “Lost?” Don’t worry. We have found out the true meaning of the island.
Turns out that all along the island is another version of the planet Pandora from the movie “Avatar.”
Instant Dharma: Dr. Linus Has a Conscience, Jack Has Faith, Ilana Has Answers & More (VIDEO)
Instant Dharma (see past episodes here) takes a look at this weeks episode of LOST.
What’s important about this week is we finally see a more human side of the evil Benjamin Linus.
Or do we?
Ben has easily become one of our favorite characters on television thanks to the creepy performance of Michael Emerson. That’s why this Ben-centric episode was so anticipated.
We wanted to know if he could be a decent human in the real world (we hoped he wouldn’t!) and whether or not the promos showing Ben digging his own grave would come true.
Most telling about the episode may lie in the little secrets held by Richard. We finally get to know a little about him and why he doesn’t age.
This week, Brill Bundy from Zap2it.com (@zap2itbrill) and celebrity DJ and ‘Lost’ super fan Mike B. (@theemikeb) join host Maggie Furlong to talk about ‘Dr. Linus,’ this season’s stellar Ben-centric episode. Michael Emerson was on top of his game, on and off the Island, but we were also treated to great moments from Richard, Ilana, Jack, Miles and a certain submarine.
Video is below and it is full of spoilers, so beware. (Edit: sometimes the video player below shows up without a poster frame. Just click in the center of the blank spot below or on the play button if that shows up. The video’s there)
If LOST was Baywatch
If LOST was Baywatch it would be more awesome than any show on television ever made or will be made. Both are soap operas set on a beach. Granted, LOST is a bit more freaky but we wouldn’t mind seeing Evangeline Lilly running slow motion down the beach in a bright red suit.
Instant Dharma: Death, Destruction, Smokey & Sayid (VIDEO)
Welcome to Instant Dharma [see past episodes here] , where we get a break down of all things ‘Lost’ every week — equal parts for our own sanity and for your entertainment.
OK, so you just watched this week’s episode and you’re like, “What the H##l?”
Well, you’re probably like that every week but this one (and we say this a lot) was a great episode. Comedian Paul Scheer and Eric Goldman, editor of IGN TV , join Maggie this week to talk about the Sayid-centric episode. There’s lots of fighting, stabbings, and betrayal going on here.
We’ll let the gang at Instant Dharma take over from here since there’s a ton of spoilers to go over.
Instant Dharma: Jack’s Daddy Issues, Crazy Claire & Reflections Everywhere (VIDEO)
Welcome to Instant Dharma, where we break down all things ‘Lost’ every week — equal parts for our own sanity and for your entertainment.
As ‘Lost’ is finishing up its final season, we have to watch closely as clues and mysteries are being solved. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t more mysteries being brought up. This week’s ‘Lost’ was a great one as we learn a lot about Jack that we could never have guessed. Also, Jacob becomes a pivotal character in this episode as he starts messing with Hugo’s head.
Check out Instant Dharma below for a recap of episode 4, the ‘Lighthouse.’ [warning: spoilers]
Instant Dharma: Smocke, Wheelchair Locke, the Numbers & Old Friends

The Final Season of LOST is coming to an end and episode three, “The Substitute,” was fantastic. We finally had a look at the root of the “numbers’ as well as what John Locke is/was.
No matter what he is, Locke is our favorite character and this Locke-centric episode helped flush out what type of person John could be. Plus, Ben gave one of the best eulogy ever.
AOL TV’s LOST recap called “Instant Dharma” takes a look at episode three with a detailed recap and insight on what you may have missed. Check it out below and be sure to check out the first 2 episode recaps if you are a little behind.
Instant Dharma: Episode 2 – Fugitive Kate, Sad Sawyer & More
Episode 2 of the final season of LOST has landed and as usual we are thrown a bunch of mysteries and a handful of answers. It’s OK to be a little confused. We’re die-hard fans and there’s a few things we’re scratching our heads about.
To help you gather your wits, Instant Dharma [see episode 1 here] continues their weekly episode summary complete with detailed descriptions of what you may have missed.
This week, IGN TV editor Eric Goldman and TVGuide.com editor Natalie Abrams join host Maggie Furlong to discuss. Watch the recap now but beware of tons of spoilers.
LOST Opening Credits Circa 1967
One of the biggest events in television this year is ABC’s LOST which is gearing up for an explosive final season. If you haven’t got caught up on the cult TV show you still have a few months before the Series Finale. We say that because you know everyone will be talking about it after it airs.
Here’s a nice gem recently uncovered showing what the opening credits to LOST would look like if the show were around in the late 60’s. The stylish music and graphics are just fantastic.
Bud Light Hit and Miss Super Bowl Commercials
Bud Light provide 4 funny Super Bowl Commercials this year and 2 of them had LOST twists. The first one about scientists and an Asteroid features Dr. Marvin Candle from the Dharma Initiative. The other one is more of a direct reference with a group of people stranded on an island with only their Bud Light to keep them alive.
Overall, the batch of ads were enjoyable. Nothing fantastic but enough to get a laugh out of them.

Bud Light Super Bowl Commercial Voice Box – T-Pain
