One of his biggest breaks came from a Fox Television show in the late 80′s called 21 Jump Street. If you’re old enough to remember that you’ll be old enough to remember another show back then of Fox, as it was just getting started, called Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.

I bring that up for no other reason than to mention that show and spend a second talking about Parker’s odd choice in shirts and why he always buttoned them up to the top button.

I mean, look at that shirt! So elegant, so regal. It’s like the plumage of a mating peacock that’s tripping out on acid. It’s, … *sniff*…. beautiful.

So we flashforward to 2012 when Sony Pictures decided to flip the television show in to a big-budget movie. And why not get Johnny Depp back for the movie?

Nah, he’s got better things to do so the next best thing is Channing Tatum and Johan Hill who lost a lot of weight and now just isn’t as funny.

But it does have Ice Cube and Ron Swanson and Ellie Kemper so it’s all good.

So it’s happening whether we like it or not and here’s the Red Band (R-rated) movie trailer for you to check out and even though it looks to be an odd remake of a teenage drama, it does excite me a bit to think up next is the full-length Parker Lewis Can’t Lose movie. Oh, I can dream….

Alice In Wonderland starts in theaters Friday (in 3-D!) and features a look at an older Alice visiting the freaky world of smoking caterpillars, talking bunnies, and various other trippy creatures.

The movie, we have been told, was shot in 2-D then converted to the popular 3-D format. We only bring this up because we are curious on how it will play on a big 3-D screen.  Namely on the IMax.

Is it worth the extra money for the bigger screen? For the extra dollars it costs to see a movie in IMax 3-D we will want to see what some people say first to see if it’s worth it.

So before you head off to the theaters to check out Tim Burton’s latest blockbuster, here are 4 clips from the movie to get you excited.





Off with his Head! The Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) tracks down the thief and punishes him to death.





Clothe the Girl! Alice’s (Mia Wasikowska) request for some clothes is granted by The Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).




The tea party. The Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) brings Alice (Mia Wasikowska) over to the table to share in some tea.




Potion making. The White Queen (Anne Hathaway) concocts a potion enabling Alice (Anne Hathaway) to become regular size.

That’s not a bad thing….we’re just curious because the movie looks great and it would really suck to have all of Depp’s scenes flushed out in the trailer.

Burton’s Alice in Wonderland will open in Disney Digital 3D™ on March 5, 2010 which just makes us want March to come sooner.

Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter round out the cast of usual suspects for the tale but it is up to Australian actress Mia Wasikowska to take over the role of Alice.

Overall, the short trailer looks to be visually fantastic. The source material is perfect for Burton with his quarky eye and the movie is a mix of CG characters and humans. Alice In Wonderland is due out March 5, 2010.

Tim Burton made a trippy movie staring Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp!

It’s nice to see him branching out.

However, this flick in question should be a great one. Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” will be, if nothing else, a visual orgy of oddities. If there has ever been a story needing Burton’s hand, it’s “Alice.”

“Alice in Wonderland” features Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and the lovely Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.
