Morgan Freeman Chain of Command
Morgan Freeman has nowhere left to go in the acting chain. He’s done every role from God to a slave.
But if there’s one thing about Morgan Freeman to take away from all this it’s that over the last 30 years of acting we don’t think he’s aged that much. [via Reddit]

Carrie Underwood + Sexy Outfit = Good Times By All
Admittedly we are not huge Country Music fans.
Then again, not all Country Music singers look like Carrie Underwood. And not many, besides Garth Brooks, have come out on stage in sexy outfits like this country schoolgirl outfit Underwood wore while performing in Nashville this week for “Good Morning America.”
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood performed live for the “GMA at the CMA Awards” for a crowd at around 6 am. That’s a crazy time to be up but after seeing Carrie decked out like this we wish we were there!
Mr. Christopher Walken performs Lady Gagas Poker Face
Christopher Walken was on “Friday Night with Jonathan Ross” on BBC1 performing a special version of the lyrical genius that is Lady Gaga. This version of “Poker Face” easily beats Jude Law’s version but not as good as Old Sparky’s take on the song.
Christian Bale Freaks Out
TERMINATOR 4 and BATMAN star Christian Bale has been accused of being a hothead before. After going ape-shit on the set of the new TERMINATOR flick an audio tape was given of the tirad to insurance agents after Bale threatened to shut down production of the film. Stay classy, Christian.
TMZ got hold of the audio (listen here) of Bale freaking out like a diva when a member of the production crew allegedly ruined the scene. After threatening to kiss kick some ass and shut down the set, Christian stormed off the set to his trailer and blow off some steam with his My Little Ponies.
Sad! Ricardo Montalban Passes Away
The man who sold us “Corinthian Leather” even though it didn’t exist and inspired the great “KHAAAANNNNNNNNN!!!” has passed away.
Ricardo Gonzalo Pedro Montalbán Merino, better known as actor Ricardo Montalban, died Wednesday morning at his Los Angeles home of complications related to old age, said his son-in-law, Gilbert Smith.
The veteran actor appeared in movies and cinema for almost 70 years. He also owns one of the most impressive bios you’ll ever see on IMDB.
“Within the entertainment industry, Montalban was widely respected for his efforts to create opportunities for Latinos, although he and others believed that his activism hurt his career. In 1970, he founded the nonprofit Nosotros Foundation to improve the image and increase employment of Latinos in Hollywood.
“He paved the way for being outspoken about the images and roles that Latinos were playing in movies,” said Luis Reyes, co-author of “Hispanics in Hollywood” (2000).
On Wednesday, actor Edward James Olmos called Montalban “one of the true giants of arts and culture.”
“He was a stellar artist and a consummate person and performer with a tremendous understanding of culture . . . and the ability to express it in his work,” Olmos told The Times.
Montalban was already a star of Mexican movies in the 1940s when MGM cast him as a bullfighter opposite Esther Williams in “Fiesta” and put him under contract. He would go on to appear alongside such movie greats as Clark Gable and Lana Turner.”
1975 Chrysler Cordoba
When Edward James Olmos says you’re an influence, that’s impressive!
Montalban was known to our generation for the televison seriesFANTASY ISLAND and his Chrysler commercials touting the fine, Corinthian leather that made the cars so pimp. There’s actually no such thing as Corinthian leather. It was made up but that didn’t stop everyone from wanting it in their car.
But we’re not gonna lie to you. We love him most for his role as the foe of Captain Kirk in STAR TREK. Montalban appeared twice as the rough and tumble Khan whose single purpose in life seemed to be to piss of Kirk. Once in the original series and again in the great STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN.
Montalban was an icon who helped pioneer Latino actors in Hollywood after working hard to promote their identity in movies. He once tried out for a part of a Mexican, only to lose out to American actor John Garfield so you can see why the suits in H’wood pissed him off.
Farewell, Ricardo! Thanks for the memories and for all those that loved him we give you this. Enjoy!

How To Celebrate The Elvis Birthday
Here at Dave and Thomas, Inc., we have petitioned many times for the Feds to institute January 8th as a National Holiday in honor of the birthday of Elvis Presley. The world has become a better place since the King emerged on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi.
And we should set up another holiday when he passes…
To help you get into the mood to party we have compiled a small list of activities you can join in to honor Elvis. The most obvious is to visit the shrine that is Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. If you can’t make it there you can make it to the live webcam of the festivities and join in with fans across the world.
Here are some more fun things:
- Shoot your TV. Please check with local authorities first to see the legality of this act in your area.
- Check for Elvis sightings in your area
- Get Religious! Join the The First Church of Jesus Christ, Elvis
- WWED (What Would Elvis Do?) – Elvis would eat. Try the Grilled Peanut Butter And Banana Sandwich
- Get Artistic! Buy that Elvis artwork you’ve always wanted. That poster of the King would look great in the Jungle Room!
- Go Skydiving!
- Get Political! Visit the White House
- Watch the King! The King’s Birthday Bash starts on TV Land at 8 EST
