In a nutshell, it’s pure Government censorship?

Remember when we used to joke at China censoring the web? Well, this is worse.

SOPA is technical stuff you might not think matters to you. But if you use the Internet in any fashion, whether to get news or buy merchandise or just look at pictures or just use Facebook, the way you will do this will be changed forever.

The Government wants to pass new laws to protect online piracy. Unfortunate, the people writing this bill (your politicians) have no idea how the Internet works. It’s like asking your grandad to set up a router and modem for you when you know they barely know how to turn on a computer.

The bill is backed by big money with such Hollywood giants as the movie studio who are wanting to extradite, punish and shut down any site they see is a threat. And the vague law will allow them to do so with little or no proof.

The fate of the world of the Internet shouldn’t rest in the hands of people blindly taking money from big money in Hollywood and the media who are out to create a world of censorship.

This bill, The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), also known as House Bill 3261 or H.R. 3261, is extremely dangerous to our future. It is flat-out the most Orwellian act of politics to surface in our generation and is so evil it makes me cringe that the bill has even gotten this far.

The bill will indirectly shut down sites like Google and Facebook and Tumblr and Twitter. It will force an unjustified responsibility on people who make up your daily blogs and sites. People will begin to serve jail time and be Federally prosecuted for acts of opinion and free speech.

We’re not talking about piracy anymore. We’re talking about the fact that I could face criminal charges for someone’s YouTube video I link to. Think about that. Something I link to. Not even embed or load myself. I could serve jail time and have a criminal record for tossing a link to a funny video of a cat dancing and Universal music claims copywrite for a poster in the background of the video and 3 dozen people face criminal charges.

To put it another way, imagine you are riding in a car with a friend driving and get pulled over for speeding 3 miles over the limit. Now imagine you all get fined and go to jail because it is your responsibility, whether you knew or not, that your friend was speeding. Just because you were in the car, maybe in the backsleep taking a nap, you could be a criminal.

Doesn’t sound right, does it?

SOPA isn’t just about censorship. It’s about the destruction of technological jobs and free speech. But sadly, these will not die with the passage of SOPA. They will just leave the U.S.

I find it sad and disturbing to think that technology and Internet sites will possibly be so scared of doing business in my country that they will move elsewhere. Imagine Facebook and Google being in Canada or Europe. Image our future being stifled so bad that companies like Apple and Microsoft are so burdened with lawsuits and frivolous lawsuits that they can not longer afford to stay in our country.

Several major webites are blacking out their sites in protest of SOPA. I have personally written my Senator in regards to the issue. I hope you will consider similar actions. We are just a small site. We enjoy posting videos and writing goofy opinions and putting up pics with captions but it will be a sad day if for all of us if SOPA passes.

Well, I’m not really sure even now but I can tell you it’s an epic  tale of a muscular dude who tosses a Pizza Boomerang and it stops people jumping off buildings like they work at a Foxconn factory.

One small step for beer, one giant leap for beerkind.

I didn’t know the brewery had it in their budget to launch the beer. Good for them. Maybe now we can get a space race going…sponsored by the beer makers.  Who knows, we might even get an intergalactic kegger started.

Two of Natty Lights Facebook fans, Danny and Rich, came to us with an epic idea to make Natty the first beer in space. We said go for it, just let us know when ya shoot it off! Natty Light helped make their dream a reality, by offering to support there efforts on Natty’s Facebook page. On Nov. 16, 2011 The spacecraft was named the Aluminum Fullcan by Natty’s Facebook Fans (submitted by Kal Thomas).

The spacecraft was launched on Noember 17, 2011 via weather balloon at approx 11:11am and landed back on earth at approx 1:45pm. The assent took about 2hrs rising to an altitude of 90,000ft+.

The Aluminum Fullcan spacecraft landed 60 miles from the launch site and took Danny and Rich 2hrs to locate by gps (due to the rural area of the landing that offered poor reception). The event was a complete success and the following day November 18, 2011 Natty Light officially became The First Beer In Space.

The spacecraft was composed of a Styrofoam cooler carrying the first beer (full beer) in space on board, a gps tracking device, an HD video camera pointed at another (empty) can on the outside of the ship (Its the can you see in frame).

Folks, this happened. It’s real and it’s awesome and my head almost exploded.  Someone is a genius and needs to be awarded the highest prize available.

The Old Murder House Theatre in Austin, Texas, is now my favorite bunch of guys and gals. That’s because they put on the epic “James Cameron’s Aliens…On Ice!”

See the James Cameron classic performed live like you’ve never seen before. Epic.

Like their live productions before (See also: Die Hard, Jurassic Park, Robocop), OMHT spared some expenses in favor of more ingenious, vulnerable prop creations – an element that always strikes a sweet deal with the unadulterated hilarity of fate. Note a key fact that none of these guys could skate two weeks prior and unforeseeable events such as the yellow power loader comprised of cardboard and PVC tipping over during the crucial Ripley vs. Alien Queen battle scene as the audience roars. People are too lazy to vote. People are too lazy to change the channel on their TV. People are too lazy to challenge politicians who are taking away jobs and rights.

But when it comes to getting cheap shit at a cheap price on the Friday after Thanksgiving, people will camp out and show up and start fights to get in line.

Apparently, more people showed up to buy stuff on this Black Friday than those who showed up to vote in the last Presidential election. And that’s how you get videos like this.

The insane crowd for the Black Friday midnight opening of Urban Outfitters in the Thousand Oaks Mall in California. That’s a lot of hipsters fighting over cheap t-shirts.

It’s not keg beer and you need time to let it settle and the foam head to get perfect. Here’s sexy Gemma showing us a great class of Guinness.

After you open the tap and start to build the Guinness you’ll see that it’s a cloudy mixture of black and brown. Don’t worry, Gemma. It will blend nicely. Give it time.

He plays the trombone, kinda, and some drums to cobble together a sweet melody of awesomeness that has to be heard (and seen) to be believed. Add in some keyboards and a green screen and be prepared for your head to explode with delight.

I really don’t know much about the dude other than his recent videos show him in the mountains serenading the streams and mountains with his lush tone deafness.

I’d like to imagine he’s a cyberterrorist who, fed up with his daily job of working as an accountant for TJ Maxx, implanted several viruses on the corporate computers and then made a mad dash for his cabin in the woods where he survives on only the food he can pick off the forest floor.
