Al Bundy Pon De Floor

Al Bundy is our hero and we spent many a night watching the Bundy’s hating life on “Married with Children,” a television show we consider one of the best ever.

When we heard someone had tossed together a video of Al Bundy with the trippy “Pon De Floor” song from Major Lazer we had to find it as fast as we could.

Al Bundy and Major Lazer. A combo made in heaven. Plus it helps to have Kelly Bundy shaking her tush around. So wake the neighbors and the kids. You’re about to watch a fantastic music video.

Lil’ Wayne ‘Office’ Theme Mashup is Fantastic

That's What She Said

Our “Office” radar blipped out of control when we heard that there was a mashup of the rapper Lil’ Wayne and the theme song to the fantastic “Office” television show.  Rapper Lil’ Wayne joins the music from the show with a few sound bites from characters to meld one sweet song.

Give the Lil’ Wayne/Office song a listen here. (note: NSFW due to cursing)

Thomas’ Retro Video of the Week : Wreckx-n-Effect

Check baby, check….

Thomas loves his Old School rap and if you ever go on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” and you get asked to name the original members of NWA than Thomas should be your lifeline.

You will not go home empty handed on that question.

This week, the Retro Video comes to us from the rump shakers of Wreckx-n-Effect, a New Jack Swing Hip-Hop group who had the multi-platinum hit “Rump Shaker” in 1992. The video is awesome. The song is awesome. And yes, there are a lot of ladies shaking their rump for you.

OK Go – This Too Shall Pass Epic Video

OK GoIt looks like the studio executives of the band OK Go listened to the recent rant by member Damian Kulash, Jr. about how the studio disabling YouTube embedding of their videos is killing the band. Well, we’re not sure what agreement the band and label came to as the old video is still disabled. The new video is not.

By disabling the videos, Kulash argued that their livelihood is being threatened. He is right.

Most bloggers, ourselves included, do not make it a habit of talking about or promoting videos that we can’t embed. It’s silly. Putting up a “Embedding disabled by request” is the online equivalent of a middle finger.  And when you’re talking about a band like OK Go you’re talking about a band that was created by Internet Buzz.

Of course we’re talking about the record labels here.  They’re the ones  who sue dead people and children for piracy issues so you know you’re not dealing with the brightest of the bunch.

On that note, the latest video for OK Go’s “This Too Shall Pass” is being embedded on the Internet tubes and such so let’s talk about it!  It’s a kick-ass video and you need to put down whatever you were doing and watch it.

There. Was that so difficult EMI Records?

The official video for the recorded version of “This Too Shall Pass” off of the album “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky”. The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Synn Labs ( http://syynlabs.com/ ) over the course of several months

Ben Harper – Lay There & Hate Me Video

Ben Harper – Lay There & Hate Me VideoBen Harper’s extended and uncut music video for the blues/rock single “Lay There and Hate Me” (from the great album “White Lies for Dark Times“) is gladly made available exclusively by our pals at Playboy.com.

The incredibly stylish and sexy music video really does Harper’s sensual song justice. Never trust a woman who loves the blues.

Just don’t try to watch this at work. The video is NSFW!

Flight of the Conchords – Bret, You’ve got it Going On

How do you cheer up your best friend when he’s feeling a little down?

Well, if you’re Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords, you write him a song. Just try not to make it too weird…

Actually Ironic

Alanis MorissetteOne of the most misused phrases of our generation is the term “ironic” which was made even more popular by the 90’s Alanis Morissette song “Ironic.” For those of you who have ever listened to the song and corrected Alanis we have for you the ultimate comeback: A parody song!

Granted, it’s 14 years too late but better than never.

Isn’t that ironic?

eh….not really…

Frakin’ Awesome! Battlestar Galactica Rhapsody

Battlestar GalacticaIn case you missed out on the Sci-Fi Channel’s “Battlestar Galactica” and were waiting for the series to hit DVD to catch up we can save you 247 hours of TV time with a 5 1/2 minute video. “Battlestar Rhapsody” sums up the entire series to the tune of Queen’s famous “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

While it’s not as good as the Muppets “Bohemian Rhapsody,” it is a great video for any nerdy fans of the show….like us.

And in case you really did miss out on the series you missed out on one of the best Sci-fi shows of all time so enjoy the video, filled with spoilers, and then go rent the series.

TV Show VideoThe TV Show is a short, animated video from Japan that we absolutely love. The attention to detail and the trippy, futuristic design really propel you into the music.
