Sweet! Zach Galifianakis Hosting Saturday Night Live
The promos for this week’s episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live are funnier than everything they have done over the last 3 years. Which isn’t saying much but since we’re huge fans of Zach Galifianakis (and his Amy Adams impersonation) we will actually have to watch this one.
Instant Dharma: Death, Destruction, Smokey & Sayid (VIDEO)
Welcome to Instant Dharma [see past episodes here] , where we get a break down of all things ‘Lost’ every week — equal parts for our own sanity and for your entertainment.
OK, so you just watched this week’s episode and you’re like, “What the H##l?”
Well, you’re probably like that every week but this one (and we say this a lot) was a great episode. Comedian Paul Scheer and Eric Goldman, editor of IGN TV , join Maggie this week to talk about the Sayid-centric episode. There’s lots of fighting, stabbings, and betrayal going on here.
We’ll let the gang at Instant Dharma take over from here since there’s a ton of spoilers to go over.
Sexy Girls with Guns
There’s not much more to say other than there’s just something hot about a hot chick hold a semi-automatic gun. We think more movies should be made that center around the subject. You just don’t see classic movies like “Hot Ticket to Hawaii” these days….
How A Redneck Moves A Fridge
Our Uncle Randy taught us this trick. You are online cruising around Craig’s List looking for some used barbed wire fence and you suddenly find yourself a great deal on a used fridge. Happens all the time.
Now, this here is the proper way to haul a used refrigerator around town down here in the South and you don’t own a truck. See, you save yourself that rental fee at U-Haul.
iPhone Apploot – One App a Day
Alrighty iPhone freaks (like us), time to check out Apploot.com.
This site takes a look at one App a day with a review and a handful of promo codes for lucky addicts like us to take advantage of.
Since Apple just pulled the plug on all the skimpy iPhone Apps in their store, we know you have the room to add some more and there’s only so many fart Apps you can add.
So we gave it a shot. Today they had an iPhone App for a VOLT which is normally $.99. We checked out the reviews, which sounded decent, and were able to get a free redemption code that was easily entered into the iTunes Store.
And viola! We had the App to try and use for our own. Pretty f’n cool.
Hopefully the peeps at Apploot.com will continue to add more cool stuff. And just like Woot, you just need to check back daily for your fix.
Vote Now : Maxims Hometown Hotties
Do you like looking at pictures of hot women?
C’mon, don’t lie now….
Well, Maxim Magazine knows you do and they need your help in picking out ten Hometown Hotties.
You can vote from dozens of women and check out their pictures and profiles.
Nice. Think of it as a research project. And like any good scientist you’ll want to take the time to look through all the pictures to come to an educated decision.
And don’t be afraid to click on the thumbnails of their faces. You’ll be treated to more (larger!) pictures where you can click the “Vote Now” button and their thumbnail will show up your voting section. Man, we love technology.
Tommy Boy Explains Toyota Recall
Toyota cars and trucks have been hit with a nasty round of recalls over stuck accelerators and bad brakes. To help explain why the brake issue needs to be fix we have found this short clip from Tommy Boy featuring Thomas R. “Tommy Boy” Callahan III (Chris Farley) and a demonstration on how brakes fail.

Ryan Miller Guarantees Olympic Gold Medal…kinda
Will the real Ryan Miller please stand up?!
Our friends at Olympic Updates found this fantastic clip. Team USA heads into the 2010 Winter Olympics with a chance to win the Gold Medal thanks to the terrific effort of their goalie Ryan Miller. Team USA will match up against the Canadians tonight [3pm Eastern] and hopefully the idiots at NBC will not try to tape delay/time delay the big game.
Just for the record, NBC’s coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics is just embarassing.
That being said, here is their crappy cable channel MSNBC interviewing Ryan Miller before the game. Turns out the NBC standard of excellence is held high once again as this interview is actually with some dude pretending to be Miller. The cocky prankster doesn’t go too far over the edge but does call Canada and Russia overrated (he’s actually right on the Russian judgment) and then all but guarantees a victory.
Fun stuff but the best part is the last few minutes where MSNBC later breaks into their own programming to air an apology and allow the real Ryan Miller to politely point out that any idiot could have seen this was not real.
