Man, times have changed.  Neil Patrick Harris has reinvented his career and he’s been propelled into the top of the acting world. He’s a Broadway star, hosted awards and he’s the star of the hit CBS show How I Met Your Mother.

It’s been a nice ride for NPH since he took the role of mocking himself in a silly comedy.

So with A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD today, a day they’re calling  Neil Patrick Harris Appreciation Day ,we’re taking a look back at some of the best Neil Patrick Harris’ best moments.

And yes, we’ll be forgetting about The Smurfs.  Every comeback has a speed bump on occasion.

NPH has an extremely broad appeal a thanks to his Internet status, comedic timing and singing.

Not many guys can pull it off as being a sexy lead on a TV show or movie and then belting out tunes on Broadway without losing respect but NPH can do it all.  During the 2011 Tonys he gave one of the best opening numbers to an award show ever.

I don’t even watch the Tonys, and I bet you don’t either, but you’ll see what I mean with this number called “Broadway, it’s not just for gays anymore.”

Century III Kia in Pittsburgh and West Side Kia in Houston landed the most epic spokesman for their dealership when Gary Busey agreed to pitch the Korean cars.

Busey isn’t just trying to sell you his crazy, he’s trying to sell your some cars as well!  And apparently Busey and his talking dentures have been doing this all year long and no one told me!

OK, the word is actually not ‘Peanuts’ but it’s close enough.

Zooey Deschanel has a bit of a tough time getting the words out of her mouth. Personally, I don’t see what the big deal is. We’re just talking about a part of the male anatomy and there’s nothing wrong with it, despite what that judge says.

She’s now a bit more uptight despite that free-wheeling hipster thing she’s got going on.  Even though she goes around town singing to herself but not get embarrassed she has trouble saying this particular word.

That’s nothing new for Fox, though. They love to do stuff like that and since I know they know we are a bit obsessed with Zooey I know they are doing this on purpose.

Thankfully, the USA Network has neared December which means 16 hours of the programming day on their television set will be airing back-to-back-to-back-to-back showings of Elf.

But the return of the New Girl this week means it’s time for the Christmas episode and that means bells! Jingle all the way, baby!

With the sexy comedy now out on Blu-ray you’ll get a chance to see all the fun extras. That means more of my favorite part of the movie, Jennifer Aniston.

If you haven’t seen the movie yet I won’t ruin it for you too much but know she steals the entire movie with her nasty gutter talk. Jennifer Aniston is very naughty in the movie as she continually harasses Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

Music, computers and even retail have changed for the better. And next year you might keep an eye on TVs as Jobs legacy isn’t gone yet. The projects he has pipelined will spurt out of Apple for years to come and I am curious as to what all is out there to be seen.

I’m bad at expressing my emotions so to kinda show how my stages of grief went here are my friends from NBC’s awesome show Community. I think they pegged it good.

And with that I will begin my 7 day mourning period.

In case you didn’t know, the Star Wars movies are getting the Blu Ray treatment next month with the tease of lots of extra footage and behind-the-scenes stuff to keep the geeks happy.

One lost treasure for any guy who grew up with the original movies are the awesome pics of Princess Leia in her Slave Girl metal bikini from ‘Return of the Jedi’. Is this her or her body double? Who cares!

But as hot as Mila is I can’t help but think that she dated Macaulay Culkin for a long time and to think of that pasty geek playing with her coconut bra is a nasty image.

For anyone that has ever read a story about Winehouse in the last 5 years you knew she struggled with substance abuse so the surprise isn’t so much there as sadness that she (or her friends) couldn’t help the singer kick the bad habits.

So we’re all guessing at this point it will be the drugs that did her in and it will be interesting to see the autopsy report.

Winehouse has as only two albums into her career but “Back to Black” album racked up about every award possible and helped make the soulful, bluesy style of her deep and sultry voice a hip item.

The years after “Back to Black” brought a very public decline. Her performances were erratic or much worse. She planned and canceled tours, went in and out of hospitals. Photos and videos showed her stumbling, bleeding and apparently taking drugs. With her boyfriend and then husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who served jail time for attacking a pub landlord, Ms. Winehouse shared drug benders and never made it through rehab. The long, pathetic spectacle brought joy only to the jackals of the British tabloids, which sneered in big headlines at each new downturn.

But her self-destruction was a deep loss to listeners. Ms. Winehouse was no manufactured pop commodity. She was a genuine musician: one of the very small handful of British singers whose version of American soul music had a gutsiness and flair far beyond what could be studied.

Bowden is the sexy yet dimwitted Cerie on “30 Rock” and is known for showing up only every 4 episodes and wearing less clothes each time. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but they might want to increase her appearances.

In fact, I think the crew at TGS needs to head to the islands soon so we can get more of Katrina Bowden in a bikini!

It also turns out that Katrina Bowden is a bit of a nerd. If you think that Katrina Bowden is your dream girl you might want to watch this video first. She likes nerds but keeps them to a high standard.
