The upcoming Ridley Scott movie Prometheus is either going to be a huge hit in a sea of Hollywood unoriginality or just a complete geek-fest sci-fi flick that becomes one of those cult movies that people catch on TBS between reruns of Talladega Nights in a few years.
20th Century Fox is reaching out into the nerd-stream with a new viral clip from Prometheus featuring a documentary-style clip featuring a sensitive android named David, played by Michael F. Assbender. It’s all kinds of cuddly and creepy at the same time and if you remember the Science Officer Ash (Ian Holm) from Alien you know that this android is poised for an interesting freak-out during a moral breakdown.
The Prometheus movie hits theaters June 8th. Enjoy the “Happy Birthday, David” clip and try not to get emotionally attached to the bucket of bolts. I’ve got a bad feeling about him…
