I couldn’t think of a better spokesman for racing than Kenny Powers.
Maybe it’s because I’ve lived in the South a bit too long now and my Rocky Mountain roots are fading, but I crack up whenever Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) is strutting around with his curly mullet. I just know too many people like him.
But have no fear. There’s more Kenny Powers coming. HBO is bringing back the raunchiest show on television as Eastbound and Down, the story of a redneck baseball player looking to make it big again, comes back to the screen on Feb. 19th.
Oh crap, I’ve missed it. Time to renew HBO for a few months again. You can’t find it on Netflix streaming yet and HBOGO only works with a subscription. Dang…
To kick off the return of Kenny, HBO has teamed up to sponsor the #50 Chevrolet driven by T.J. Bell at DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway. The #50 Eastbound & Down / Make Motorsports Chevrolet features elements of lead character, Kenny Powers’ prized jet ski, with a purple and leopard-print scheme, as well as the likeness of the “legend” himself, who also hails from Shelby, N.C.
