NBC has wisely left my favorite show, Community, off it’s second half schedule. That leaves more time to watch Whitney! OMG, that’s such a great show.
It’s so original and I love that laugh track. At first I was like, “Why is Karen Carpenter flashing her panties in every promo?” and then it was just such a golden treat to watch the show. Such elevated writing and complex jokes that I didn’t see coming. And those storylines….whew! Do they just glisten with uniqueness.
It’s hard to believe NBC, which sometimes comes in 4th place in the ratings, doesn’t ditch more critically acclaimed and talented shows like Community in place of POS’s like Whitney. I mean, that’s how they got to be the lowest rated prime-time network around.
Maybe they’ll bring back The Single Guy!
Proving that Community is more detailed that the most dense episode of Lost, here’s a comedy joke that arched over 3 seasons. If you say “Beetlejuice” 3 times, you’ll make him appear. Guess what? They said it three times over the course of three seasons and look who shows up.
