It’s hardly a stretch to call the action movie Raiders of the Lost Ark one of the best of all time. And with the movie being on DVD it’s a shock that Steven Spielberg has never done a commentary for one of his best movies.
In fact, Stevie is apparently too good to do them for any of his movies. Shame, too, because he’s a great filmmaker who could really pass on some cool facts and wisdom on the creation of his art.
Thankfully, there’s Jamie Benning who collected a ton a audio and other clips and facts from the movie to make his own.
Raiding the Lost Ark tackles the making of the first “Indiana Jones” picture by splicing old interviews and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” footage into a 17-minute mini-movie. Great stuff for film freaks and I can’t wait for the rest.
