battlefield 3Video game distributor EA and and development studio DICE teamed up for the much anticipated Battlefield 3 which recently hit the shelves and has caused me to enter into a hazy, Baja Blast riddled sleep insomnia coma for the last week.

Even though no matter what it does, the pre-orders of rival video game company Activision and their Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 will keep MW3 in the top spot on sales and BF3 in second.

That’s not to say Battlefield is a disappointment.  The game has popped up a stunning 5 million copies sold already and entered into EA’s record book as the fastest selling game in their history.  EA reported that 10 million copies are already accounted for in presales and will be reordered soon which puts up big numbers for MW3 to beat, which it will.

The lesser known Battlefield series has attracted gamers in the genre because it’s a bit more skilled than Call of Duty, which is fun and addictive but in reality Black Ops is the Jersey Shore of video games while Battlefield 2 was more like Survivor.

But either way both games are fun and one fan of the Battlefield series took it upon himself to bust some of the myths of the game. He does a pretty good job at it, too.  Namely killing the enemy with the repair tool.  It’s an unknown device as a weapon but the myth that it can be used in a pinch is tackled here along with some others that new players to the series need to watch.
