The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming….

In the wake of the annual E3 Expo where electronics and game makers get to showcase their hottest items for the upcoming year Activision has started to release teaser posters for the upcoming Call of Duty :Modern Warfare 3 video game. The Call of Duty franchise is one of the best selling of all time with Modern Warfare 2 and last year’s Black Ops taking titles for some of the best selling games of all time.

Activision is getting ready to bring out more details on the game such as expected release date and specifications in the next few weeks but I expect some great hands-on demos to be ready for E3 in the first week of June.   After a week of speculation if the below poster was real or fan-made, Activision updated this week the Call of Duty website with a short teaser for MW3 featuring a graphic of Manhattan and some Russian-sounding guys sound threatening.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Last week there was some info leaked out about the game such as the potential release date, characters, story and locations for battle. If you’re not afraid of mild spoilers you can check those details out here.

Right now Amazon is still citing the release date of the game as November 8th of this year. That’s important because their rivals over at EA have been planning to release their latest edition in the Battlefield video game series around the same time. EA and DICE studio have been slowly marketing their game for the holidays and are expected as well to roll out some info at E3.

Can the gaming world handle two huge FPS franchises at the same time? We might just be ready to find out as both studios are set to battle it out for your attention. Both games are sure to be fun for gamers as the multiplayer aspect of the game, which is what most people get them for, are looking to getting deeper and more complex.
