Just when you think you have enough free time to break away from playing “Call of Duty”, there comes a new set of maps for the multiplayers.   There goes my spring season.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops” is the most popular and addictive version of the successful franchise.  Despite numerous issues with servers going down and problems with glitches, the game continues to roll at an unprecidented pace.

To keep you hooked on the morphine-like experience of the multiplayer games, Treyarch will release their first set of maps to expand the game which just came out in November.

If you’re like us, then you have probably spent about an average of 22 hours a day playing that game.  The new maps are just in time because I’m getting sick of getting killed on “Crisis.” What’s cool is the new maps not only add more options to kill people with but there are new features like zip lines and more vertical buildings.

The new maps, dubbed “First Strike,”  will be sold as downloadable content via XBox first.  Later on you’ll see PS3 and PCs and all the rest.  While the rest of the world waits, here’s what XBox users will get to experience first.

The “First Strike” pack includes five new maps – four for the standard multiplayer mode and one for the popular Zombies mode. “First Strike” contains 5 incredibly diverse maps spanning the globe; featuring 4 multiplayer maps and a new Zombie experience. Includes “Berlin Wall”, allowing combat on both sides of the imposing wall; “Discovery”, a desolate, frozen German outpost in the Arctic; “Kowloon”, battle in the rain along the rooftops of a towering Chinese sprawl; “Stadium”, an intense locale with a pro hockey arena backdrop; and “Ascension”, where you fight zombies in a Soviet launch facility.
