NBC’s Olympic coverage has come under fire for its use of tape delayed events [see our earlier rant]. In an effort to maximize its huge investment in the Olympics, NBC has chosen to bypass the needs of the viewers and broadcast events that happen during the day in the evening during their primetime.

This strategy was acceptable in 1984 before the Internet, before Twitter, before email and every other form of communication and media that makes NBC’s tape delay suck even more.

To add insult to injury, NBC not only doesn’t show the stuff you want when you want to see it like the Bode Miller skiing event that happened 9 hours earlier but they pad it with fluffy crap pieces about polar bears.
