Conan O’Brien is having fun at the expense of NBC’s wallet. He introduced a new bit that’s not aimed to be funny. Just expensive. See, as long as Conan is on the air NBC has to foot the bill.
Enter the Bugatti Veyron Mouse as a new Tonight Show character Thursday night Not because it was funny but because it was “crazy expensive” for NBC.
And in the background you’ll hear an original recording by the Rolling Stones to add to the fun. Once again, not to make it funny. Just to add to the bill. The royalty rates on that sucker are out of this world.
But if you want to see the clip on NBC or Hulu [partially owned by NBC] you are out of luck. The cheap bastards have edited the clip out of the show!

This instantly classic clip from Conan reminds us of one of our favorite clips of a young David Letterman visiting the GE executives after they bought NBC.
The stiffs at GE made themselves look like fools as Letterman poked fun at them when they wouldn’t allow Dave to give them a fruit basket to welcome them to the family. This of course help give Dave plenty of material to joke about for years to come.
