Here is a segment from the popular series “Buy Me That” where we meet a “makeup artist for food,” who surprises us all with this behind-the-scenes look at how burgers (and fries) are made to look their best for television. This clip is a big outdated but you get the idea on why the ads look soooooooo much better than anything you buy at the restaurant. Today, restaurants actually use 3D animation and graphics to depict their food in commercials to give it the best look.

Now if they put that much effort into what they serve we might actually go there….
