This dude wanted to take a video of the propeller of a plane his iPhone 3GS. The scanning order of the sensor combined with the refraction from the window caused this pretty cool phenomenon. He then discovered that rotating the camera would warp the blades in different directions.

He then brought the footage into After Effects and rotated to match the physical rotation of the iPhone. Very trippy
