Brad Pitt For Mayor

Buried inside this fluff piece on the “Today Show” we get a snippet of the rumors of a Mayoral run by Brad Pitt. Ever since Hurricane Katrina, Pitt has helped his foundation, Make It Right, rebuild the lower Ninth Ward homes. They have helped build houses for underprivileged citizens and the efforts of Pitt have not gone unnoticed by some.

Locals have started a campaign called Brad Pitt For Mayor which has been getting some attention. A petition was started and shirts, like above [buy Brad Pitt for Mayor shirts here], help promote the movie star for the governmental seat and our minds are already stirring with images of Angelia Jolie holding some Mayoral Balls.

Um…we mean Galas.

“If chosen, would you run?” Curry asked in the prerecorded interview that ran Thursday.

“Yeah,” Pitt said.

“Would you serve?”

“Yeah. I’m running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform,” he joked.

OK. He has our vote.

If you want Brad to run you can sign the Brad Pitt for Mayor petition to get things rolling. A few hundred have already joined in the fun and with the recent publicity from the “Today Show” we bet that this really gets rolling.

Although Brad Pitt admits he wouldn’t stand a chance in the race, we bet he would get a bigger share of votes than he believes. Plus, he’s already gotten a campaign going and he’s not even running it!
