The producers of the upcoming Ethan Hawke vampire flick deserve some kudos for 1) making a vampire film that doesn’t look like shit and 2)using a Placebo song in the trailer. Bonus points for also casting Willem Dafoe.

“Daybreakers” is part of the current, trendy vampire movie phase in Hollywood but with a twist. In the year 2019, in which an unknown plague has transformed the world’s population into vampires, surviving humans are farmed for their blood but that is running out. Interesting… Not sure if it will be as good as our favorite, the Grace Jones “Vamp” flick.

The song at the end of the “Daybreakers” trailer is Placebo’s “Running Up That Hill” which you can hear in its entirety here.
