Johnny Knoxville
Well, if you’re gonna be detained by the Airport Gestapo at least make the headline interesting. Local Knoxvillian Philip John Clapp, better known as Johnny Knoxville, was pulled aside from the L.A. International Airport line after security found an inert grenade in his belongings.
Cool! Considering Knoxville’s sense of humor we’re surprised that’s the worst thing they found.
Unlike his movie, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD, what security saw was not a bomb. The grenade was a prop and didn’t have a firing pin or any kind of explosive inside.
Security later released Knoxville after his repeated requests for a full-body cavity search.
