Remaking classic horror movies is hip right now with the granddaddy of slasher flicks, FRIDAY THE 13th, coming out next month and the Wes Craven classic THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT coming out later this spring.
The controversial 1972 horror that helped bring Wes Craven to the forefront of horror film making is still a moving epic in American cinema. We’re curious on how much of the vivid torture scenes will be brought to the remake. Still kind of a touchy subject with some folks…
The remake trailer looks to show that the 2009 version will indeed be a little gory with Tony Goldwyn (GHOST) and Monica Potter (Con Air) holding up their end of the bargain as pissed off parents. One nice touch is the beautiful “Sweet Child of Mine” remake (….we see a trend here) that overlays the last half of the trailer sung by a group called Taken By Trees.
