Just after he made a SPLASH with Ron Howard and before he took home every single Academy Award issued between the years 1993-96, Tom Hanks made a stupid comedy that we at Dave and Thomas have loved since it hit the trusty VHS store way back in the 80’s. It’s BACHELOR PARTY and to help you understand what it is about we have dug up this great review by the Dynamic Duo of Siskel and Ebert.
Siskel pans the movie (shocker!) and sums up Tom Hanks as a “poor man’s Bill Murray by way of Michael Keaton.” Ouch! Shows you why you shouldn’t listen to critics.
Roger Ebert enjoys the movie for what it is: a stupid comedy. A stupid comedy with lots of hookers and a mule! Thumbs up!! Of course Siskel dogs Ebert for liking the movie and they get in a small verbal duel. En garde!
